I love Twilight just as much as the next girl but this song was not written about or for Twilight. Rob wrote it himself a long time before he was ever introduced to the Twilight series and the song was put into the movie as a suprise to Rob.

FOR ME: I'm stuck in the middle, I've not yet told him that I love him.....He heard the song cause I sent him, BUT HE DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE that I dedicate this song to him... :[     MEANING OF THE SONG:   A girl(Taylor) who is typically a nerd likes a guy, her next door neighbor and she's like best friends with him. Song begins with the guy on the phone with his girlfriend, who is mad at him. He tries to explain her stuff and side by side telling all this "drama" to Taylor. Then probably his girlfriend doesn't like the music Taylor was listening to, so that guy puts on the curtains and thats when Taylor was about to tell him she loves him.   His girlfriend is popular and likable, she is a cheer leader and Taylor compares herself with her. Taylor is simple and nerdy. Taylor knows that guy is happier when she is around her but somehow that guy doesn't realize that, he goes with that popular girl.   Then Taylor and that guy are sitting on the bench and she wonders if they could go around with each other and by that time his girlfriend comes to pick him up. Taylor thinks that his girlfriend is the reason for him being so upset, his face always carries a frown.   Next, that guy was hell upset, he comes back home, asks Taylor if she was free because he wanted to spend his evening with her, but she said she was busy studying(remember she is a nerd!!) so he just leaves.   In the party, his girlfriend tries to talk to him but he kinda ignores her because he sees Taylor in a completely new look!!! She looks smart and sexy.   Then they both show they chits by which they had tried to tell each other that they love each other!!   And his girlfriend is like "WHAT THE HELL?"   and Taylor and that guy go together!   Happy ending!!
