Beck Contributes New Music to Playstation GameIt looks like the gaming industry will be paving a wider path for musicians. Alt-rocker, Beck, who hasn’t released an album since 2008, will be unleashing new material exclusively for the Playstation game “Sound Shapes”. The video game combines an old-school, Super Mario-style side-scrolling platformer with the ability to make your own music, reports Prefix.
But it looks like Beck won’t be the only musician contributing music to the Playstation game. Electronic star Deadmau5 and Canadian composer Jim Guthrie also composed new music for the side-scrolling adventure game, which was developed by Queasy Games.
LA Times reports that Beck will be unveil three new tracks in “Sound Shapes”. They will include, track titles, Cities, Touch the People, and Spiral Staircase.
“Sound Shapes” will be released on Aug. 7th.
