Kanye West to Release Solo Work After G.O.O.D. Music Compilation DropsAccording to MTV, No I.D., who produced Common’s 1994 classic Resurrection as well as Jay-Z’s more recent hit Run This town and Big Sean’s My Last, and has been a longtime friend of Kanye West’s, announced that West’s sixth solo endeavor is going to be released soon after the G.O.O.D. Music compilation, Cruel Summer, to be out August 7.
Though the Def Jam producer will not be a part of the Cruel Summer production, fans can look for his name in the credit listings of ‘Ye’s next solo project.
“He’s coming right after that,” Def Jam VP and multiplatinum Chicago producer No I.D. revealed to MTV News on the red carpet for the ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Music Awards in Los Angeles on June 29.
In other recent Kanye news, the rapper and buddy and Watch the Throne-collaborator, Jay-Z was awarded for “Best Group” and “Video of the Year” at last Sunday’s BET Awards.
